The Journal of the Palaeontological Society of India (JPI) is an impact factor journal and is being published since 1956 by the Palaeontological Society of India (PSI). JPI is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal which publishes high-quality articles pertaining to all aspects of Palaeontology (systematics, phylogeny, palaeoecology, palaeobiogeography, biostratigraphy, evolutionary biology, taphonomy, etc.), Anthropology, Archaeology. Manuscripts dealing with all fossil organism groups as well as ichnofossils are welcome. Articles are freely accessible online in perpetuity under a Creative Commons License. The journal operated under a subscription-based publishing model until 2022. Beginning April 2022, the journal transitioned to an Open Access model under Creative Commons License, ensuring all published content is freely available to readers worldwide without a subscription. The Palaeontological Society of India is a corporate member of the International Palaeontological Association (IPA) and a member of the Federation of Indian Geosciences Associations (FIGA). The Society is instrumental in the organization of scientific meetings, conferences, and field workshops on topics of contemporary issues in geology and palaeontology. Its main activities are the publication of the Journal of the Palaeontological Society of India, Field Guide Books, Catalogues, Monographs, Atlas, Special Publications, and other Miscellaneous Publications.
