Journal of Postgraduate Medicine, Education and Research (JPMER) formerly called “Bulletin, PGIMER” that was being published since 1970, is the official publication of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. Its aim is to provide an academic platform enriched by the experience and glorious legacy of PGIMER that has fostered excellence in all its endeavours to authors from diverse medical and surgical fields and specialties. The journal currently accepts high quality scientific papers, case reports/ case series, original research, topical reviews, recent advances, basic sciences, community medicine, advanced techniques, medical education and also publishes the famed clinicopathological case conferences (CPC) from the PGI archives. The JPMER has its readership ranging from postgraduate students to teachers, physicians, and basic scientists. Keeping its varied readership in mind it provides a highly stimulating reading for all its users. Clinical trials are one of the ways that new therapies are discovered and JPMER accepts clinical trial designs, protocols and final results. Book reviews and invited reviews form a separate section and the journal also publishes special thematic issues and “State of Art” Guest symposia. Being a multispecialty journal, its editorial board comprises of national and international experts from various fields. JPMER accepts papers from across the globe. The journal has an open access policy, and its multi-faceted contents attract substantial readership from a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
