The Indian Journal of Public Administration was launched in 1955 by the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi, which in turn was founded in March 1954 under the Presidentship of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, on the recommendation of the noted American expert of public administration Prof. Paul H. Appleby, who had earlier served in the New Deal Administration of President F.D. Roosevelt of the USA. It is a peer-reviewed quarterly professional journal of national and international repute catering to the needs of administrators and academics alike. IJPA includes research papers, research notes, book reviews, and occasionally documents and interviews/ dialogues. The views expressed in the items published in the journal are those of the authors and do not in any sense represent those of the IIPA, publisher and editor. Copyright of the materials published belong to the IIPA but they may be reprinted/published with our formal permission and acknowledgement to this journal plus a complimentary copy to our library.
