Background:-Highlights of Ophthalmology journal, started by Dr Benjamin Boyd in 1959, has the distinction of being the first journal in Latin America on Ophthalmology. Its Editorial Board constitutes prestigious ophthalmologists from different parts of the world. Objective:- To disseminate scientific knowledge and keep Ophthalmologists updated on the latest trends, surgical techniques, medical therapies, and new equipment. Each theme-based issue presents reviews, comments, cases, and advances for the treatment of different pathologies in Ophthalmology. These themes are presented in a simple, easy-to-read language, with a fusion of modern design and very didactic color illustrations. Audience:- As the reach & reception of new development, technology, and education are not uniform in all parts of the world, resulting in a gap & divide, our journal is a sincere attempt towards bridging this gap. It has been recognized by many experts, who contribute to our journals to address these issues. The Journal caters to the niche but a large segment of general ophthalmologists as well as Retinologists, with mainly non-English backgrounds, who prefer to have short, brief and concise articles, less text than the other journals and high quality images & illustrations.
